I wish I could just float away
Catch the breeze to find better days
I think I'm ready, I'm eastern bound
Drive straight to Tempe to see about
About a brand new life, maybe a fresh start
A brighter light out in the desert
Hoping a late night drive will help me clear my mind
I thought I'd figure it out by now
But I'm still winging it don't know how to say this
I never meant to be someone to let you down
I thought I'd figure it out by now
But I'm still winging it don't know how to say this
I never meant to be someone to let you down
I thought I'd figure shit out by now
They say wisdom it comes with age
But they never met a fool like me
Some old dogs they just never learn
I'm still living on my own terms
And my life it fits into some boxes
I thought by now I'd have some more shit
To show for myself but I'm still doing well
Cause I've been living like an avalanche
Yeah I'm falling faster further still
I can't keep up maybe I never will
Cause I've been living like an avalanche
Yeah I'm falling faster further still
I can't keep up maybe I never will
Not a fan of the new album but this Polaris album is just what I love about metalcore. Saw them live in CH last year and on stage they are amazing. If you're new to Polaris (doubt it) start here ! sachavonkarl74
Musically this feels more experimental for La Dispute reminding me of their Here, Hear releases. Very atmospheric and easy to lose your self in. Perfect for the next time you’re contemplating your existence. (Also found out the guitarist builds his own pedals and used them on this record; neato!) Mikey
Thanks for helping me get through separating with the first person I had a real relationship with. Manages to be excellent sad pop punk a la The Story So Far except with an actual singer and lyrics that aren’t misogynistic like TSSF and so many bands of that cohort. dirtycommiescum
Recorded on the Grecian isle of Hydra, this is blissed-out psych pop with stacked falsetto harmonies and luscious arrangements. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 9, 2023
Two dozen 12-string acoustic improvisations that feel undeniably haunting, like lost transmissions from ancient Appalachia, rediscovered. Bandcamp New & Notable Oct 17, 2022
An incredible and personal album with brutal riffs that deliver such an amazing package.
The clean vocals work surprisingly well. Phenomenal work. PIggy
